Norman E. Waldrop, III, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained foot and ankle orthopaedic surgeon at Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama.

Dr. Waldrop maintains a strong academic and research focus on sports-related foot and ankle injuries and traumatic injuries of the lower extremities. He has presented research at national meetings for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA), and the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS), and has authored multiple book chapters on foot and ankle topics.

Originally from Mobile, Alabama, Dr. Waldrop earned his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from the University of Virginia before returning to Alabama to obtain his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham.

He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he developed a strong interest in foot and ankle surgery under the mentorship of Dr. Robert Anderson and Dr. Hodges Davis. He then completed a foot and ankle fellowship at The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado, training under Dr. Thomas Clanton.

Dr. Waldrop and his wife, Meredith, have two sons, Cort and Robert. Outside of medicine, he enjoys golfing, skiing, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Allen graduated from Rowan University, attended medical school at Temple University, and completed four years of surgical residency and a fifth-year Fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center. He is board-certified in Foot Surgery and Rearfoot (Ankle) and Reconstructive Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, as well as a Fellow of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. He also has a Certificate of Advanced Qualification in Sports Medicine from the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Currently, he is the Fellowship Director of Sports Medicine Associates Foot and Ankle Fellowship. Dr. Allen has been a founding partner of Sports Medicine Associates in San Antonio, TX since 2006. He serves as the foot and ankle consultant to multiple university and professional teams, most notably the San Antonio Spurs. Dr. Allen has also been a member of the NBA’s committee on ankle sprain injuries and helped create the NBA screening evaluation tests.

Jesse Doty, MD graduated in 2003 from Carson-Newman University. He completed medical school at Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, graduating with honors in 2007 and was voted into the AOA Honor Medical Society. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at The University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga, in 2012. In 2013, he participated in a one-year foot and ankle fellowship with renown surgeon Dr. Michael Coughlin at Saint Alphonsus Foot and Ankle Clinic in Boise, Idaho. After fellowship, Dr. Doty spent time in Los Angeles at Southern California Orthopaedic Institute with Dr. Richard Ferkel to gain additional insight into sports related injuries.

His surgical interests include arthroscopy, minimally invasive surgery, chronic deformities, and ankle replacement. He has published multiple peer-reviewed articles and chapters, and has served as teaching faculty at several courses. He is currently serving as Principle Investigator for multiple ongoing pivotal orthopaedic trials including ankle replacement and minimally invasive surgery. He has recently been hosted as an international guest lecturer in Canada, France, India, and Australia. He currently serves as an Associate Professor at the University of Tennessee Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Director of Foot and Ankle Surgery at Erlanger Health System.

Jason Krystofiak, MD, CAQSM, a primary care sports medicine physician, is the Section Chief of Sports Medicine at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center and the Medical Director of Sports Medicine and Medical Director of the Matthew J. Morahan III Health Assessment Center for Athletes at RWJBarnabas Health. He is one of the team physicians for Rutgers Athletics including the team physician for Rutgers Football. Dr. Krystofiak is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and Community Health at Rutgers - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS). He previously served as the Medical Director for Sky Blue FC.

Dr. C. Thomas Haytmanek, an orthopaedic surgeon and foot and ankle specialist, has joined the surgical staff at The Steadman Clinic. Dr. Haytmanek earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in chemistry and a minor in physics from Wake Forest University in 2004. He completed his Medical Degree nearer to his hometown of Bethlehem, PA, at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia in 2008 and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Duke University in 2013.  Following his residency, Dr. Haytmanek completed his Fellowship with Thomas O. Clanton, MD at The Steadman Clinic in Vail. During his residency Dr. Haytmanek received several awards.  He received the Duke Orthopaedic Annual Award for Excellence for his Orthopaedic Research Presentation in June 2013. He was named a Feagin Leadership Program Scholar as part of the Duke Sports Medicine team in 2012-2013. He traveled to New Delhi, India, as a Parekh Traveling Scholar in 2012, and he received the Ralph Coonrad Mission Traveling Endowment Award in 2012. He was selected a Resident Scholar for the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society Annual Meeting in 2011. His completed research projects have been published in The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, Foot and Ankle International, American Journal of Sports Medicine, and Knee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy. Dr. Haytmanek belongs to multiple academic organizations including the Piedmont Society, The American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, and serves on the board of the North Pacific Orthopaedic Society. Prior to moving to Vail, Dr. Haytmanek practiced in Boise, Idaho at The Coughlin Clinic at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center with Michael Coughlin, MD and Christopher Hirose, MD. Dr. Haytmanek’s clinical interests include fracture fixation, ankle arthroscopy, cartilage restoration, and sports related injuries of the foot and ankle.  His ongoing research projects include hindfoot fusion nails, total ankle arthroplasty, and cartilage repair. Dr. Haytmanek serves as a member of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard medical team.

Corey S. Tremble is an award-winning certified athletic trainer with over twenty years of experience in Sports Medicine.  He begins his second year with the Miami Marlins overseeing the organization’s Sports Medicine Department as the Director of Medical Operations. Prior to joining the Marlins, Tremble spent 17 years with the Detroit Tigers as both a minor league athletic trainer and the Minor League Medical Coordinator and one season as the Director of Minor League Medical Operations for the Texas Rangers. After completing his undergraduate degree at Florida Southern College and a graduate assistantship at the University of South Florida, Tremble began his journey in professional baseball. The New Jersey native completed his Doctor of Athletic Training degree at Florida International University in 2024 with an emphasis on Academic and Entrepreneurial Leadership. His passion for advocacy of the profession has earned him back-to-back PBATS Medical Coordinator of the Year Awards, the Professional Sports Athletic Trainer of the Year Award from the Athletic Training Association of Florida, and the Detroit Tigers Player Development Person of the Year Award (Dwight Lowry Award). On the field, he had the honor of being named to the staff of the 2021 and 2023 MLB All-Star Futures Games. Tremble served as the Chair of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Cannabis-Related Resources for the Athletic Trainer Task Force, is a member of the MLB/PBATS Electronic Medical Records Committee, and heads various PBATS initiatives. Tremble resides in Michigan with his wife, Joanna.

David Porter, MD, Ph.D. is a graduate of Ball State University and earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr Porter also received his Ph.D in Human Bioenergetics (Sports and Exercise Physiology) from Ball State University’s internationally recognized Human Performance Laboratory. Following his residency in Orthopaedic surgery at Wright State University in Dayton, OH, Dr. Porter completed his fellowship in Foot and Ankle surgery with Tom Clanton,MD and Don Baxter, MD in Houston, TX. Prior to his fellowship Dr Porter also completed a 3 month senior elective in Foot and Ankle surgery with James Amis, MD in Cincinnati, OH In 1996, Dr. Porter joined Methodist Sports Medicine Center staff (NOW Forte Sports Medicine and Orthopedics) where he is active in clinical practice, research, and teaching. In addition, Dr. Porter serves as instructor at University Indianapolis School of Physical Therapy and the Purdue University Athletic Training program.

In addition to publications in scientific journals and presentations before physicians, Dr. Porter has been involved in written and spoken contributions to the NFL team physicians, American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society, American College of Sports Medicine. Dr Porter also serves as the Foot and Ankle consultant to the Indianapolis Colts, Purdue University and Butler University as well as numerous other colleges in central Indiana. Dr Porter has also been integrally involved in the care of professional athletes including the NFL, NBA and professional Ballet performers. Dr Porter was cited in April 23rd 2012 edition of Street & Smith’s Sports Business Daily Journal recognized as a leading specialist as it pertains to foot and ankle sports injuries and conditions. And, was awarded the ISMA Commission of Sports Medicine recipient of the Team Physician Award in 2013.
